An exploration of the “magic” of in-person therapy and how we can bring it, with intention, to our Telehealth sessions.
Brief Bio:
Dr. Stephanie Ellis is an author and psychologist (TX 34722) who currently works in private practice treating individuals, couples, and families. She earned a doctorate in Counseling Psychology and a master’s degree in counseling and guidance. She has 20 years’ experience in psychotherapy (individual, couples, families, and groups) and supervision of master’s and doctoral level practicum students and interns. She has taught psychology and counseling at the undergraduate and graduate levels for 10 years, as well as served as program director and department head for graduate programs in counseling. She is the author of Five Minutes a Day to an Upgraded Therapy Practice: Transtheoretical Tips for Making the Most of Each Session (Routledge, 2021), a text aimed at improving practice for practicum students and early career mental health clinicians. She also produces low-cost, therapy-quality resources for clients through Diligent Page Publications. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and Texas Psychological Association, and president of the Fort Bend Psychological Association.
