It is my honor to welcome you to a new year with the Fort Bend Psychological Association. As your president, I am excited to embark on this journey with you to strengthen and expand the incredible work our association does for its members, the broader community, and the field of psychology as a whole.

This year, my primary focus is on growth and value—both for our membership and our impact. I believe in the power of our association to be a resource for every psychologist and mental health professional in Fort Bend County and beyond.

We will work to grow our membership by showcasing the unique opportunities our association offers for professional development, collaboration, and connection. I encourage each of you to invite colleagues to join our community so they can experience the same benefits you have come to value.

We are committed to enhancing the value of membership by expanding our offerings. From thought-provoking workshops and presentations, to networking events, we aim to provide resources that elevate your work and enrich your professional journey. I am especially interested in helping our members acquire necessary trainings as to expand your scope of practice.

We want to amplify our association’s value to the broader community, ensuring that non-members also benefit from our educational initiatives and advocacy efforts. By extending our reach, we aim to foster greater awareness and engagement with the mental health challenges and opportunities in our region.

Finally, we will prioritize philanthropic efforts to give back in meaningful ways. Whether it’s supporting community mental health programs or partnering with local organizations, our shared mission to improve lives will guide us in making a tangible impact.

Together, we can achieve these goals and build an association that not only serves its members but also leaves a lasting legacy in our community. I look forward to working with each of you this year and encourage your active participation. Your ideas, energy, and commitment are what make this organization thrive.
